Dec. 29, 2006 - A lot of folks are oooh-ing and ahhh-ing over Coachmen's new Wyoming line of fifth wheels.
One feature that's getting a lot of attention is the Turn-Rite scalloped front cap, described by Coachmen as "shortbed truck compliant." As seen in the photo, having the front cap scooped out on each side (and having an extended hitch pin) enables the Wyoming to be pulled by a shortbed truck without the need for a slider hitch.
The optional fireplace, available in most Wyoming floor plans, puts out 5,600 BTUs of electric heat, which experienced campers know is "free" when you're plugged in at the campsite. This reduces the amount of LP fuel you're using to heat your fifth wheel. That's a money saver!
Another eye-popping feature is the hitch mirror built into the cap, which gives the driver a solid view of the hitch from inside the truck. The idea is to take the guesswork out of hitching up.
