On March 16th and 17th our club camped at Lake Point Resort State Park, Eufaula, Ala. I understand we
had seven units attend. The Gaines' son Tim from Phoenix City, Ala was a guest. I hear it was really
cold in Alabama too. Linda & Ernie Gaines and Donna & Charles Taylor were the wagon masters. Thanks
for a real fine job.
On Friday night pizza was the menu and then on Saturday night Tim Gaines made Cincinnati chili for
everyone. I've heard from several how good it was. Sure am sorry we missed it. We had planned for
two months to get our the games and practice for the State Rally, however the weather had not been
favorable. We have had to resort to inside games while the weather is cold. Anyway I'm sure a good time
was had by all. We always enjoy kicking back relaxing, and visiting with each other.
On Sunday morning after breakfast and devotion it was time to close camp, say our good byes and make
ready for the return trip home.
Please remember Walker and Linda Lord daily in your prayers. Hospice has come in to help Walker. He
is in lots of pain. Linda is in the hospital, Macon Northside in room 333. Also continue to remember Russ
and Melinda Temple.
Our campout for April will be on 20th and 21st at Little Ocmulgee State Park - McRae. I have called the
park directly and reserved 12 sites for the Peach State Coachmen Club in my name. Please call the park
at 229-868-7474 ASAP and make your reservations. As you call in and make your reservation she will
take them out of my name. I talked with Becky when I called.
The Wallaces are the wagon masters. Friday night you will be on your own. On Saturday night we plan
to go to the Cedar Lane Supper Club for dinner. Here's hoping for nice weather so we can play out side.
Directions to Little Ocmulgee State Park: From Macon take I-16 east to Hwy 319/441 then south
approximately (35 miles). Park will be on the right before you get to McRae. Signs mark it well. Hope
