Chapter 377
23 February 2006

Our chapter has had a good and interesting year so far. We have lost some members for various reasons and we have gained some. We have had some fun campouts. We had 5 units attend the annual Caravan Rally in July in VA. Our chapter, thanks to our sponsor’s support, was able to contribute $500.00 again this year to the Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethon. In August the campout was at KOA RV Park in Forsyth. It was miserably hot. Nine members units and one visitor were present. The Pollards were the wagon masters. Friday evening Barbara served wraps, -some went out for dinner, others ate in. There was a nice clubhouse and a swimming pool for some to enjoy. On Saturday evening everyone traveled up I-75 to Buckner’s for dinner. Their food is so good. After our return a meeting was held and officers for the coming year were elected. Dale had a fun game for everyone to play and then some stayed and played bingo. On Sunday after breakfast Al Jenkins gave devotion. Good byes were said and everyone prepared for their trip home.

September we were a little further south down I-75 at Unadilla, Southern Trails RV Park. It was hot but a little more bearable. Ten units attended. The mosquitoes were bad after dark. Some played bingo after dinner at the clubhouse, others just chilled out. On Saturday after breakfast you were on your own until 4:45 we lined up and went to eat seafood at Creekside Restaurant on Hwy 96. Some went south to Cordele to eat steak at Cutters. Upon our return, Dale entertained over at her unit until mosquitoes ran everyone in. Sunday Ernie gave devotion after breakfast and that concluded another weekend of camping with Chapter 377.

October our campout was at White Water RV Park in Montezuma. It started out rainy on Friday, but turned into a nice overcast camping weekend. Only six member units attended and two visitors. One unit attended the District 4 Rally at Gadsden, AL. I understand it was a fun rally for everyone. Friday night some went to Yoders while others stayed in. Robert Knighton and Ernie Wright cooked chicken for the Saturday night meal. Everyone made his or her own contributions and you had a feast for everyone. On Sunday morning Shirley Odom sang and Ernie Wright gave devotion after breakfast and it was time to fold up, say your goodbyes and call it another fun weekend of camping with Chapter 377. Our Chapter would like to extend an invitation to anyone to join us the 3rd weekend of any month. We camp somewhere in Central GA. Area and always have fun. Here’s wishing you all safe travels and good health.
