Chapter 377
1 June 2007

Greetings Coachmen Campers...

Well here it is summer again, the sixth month of the year, another year almost half gone and we wonder where it went. We have people celebrating this month with birthdays and anniversaries. They are Linda Gaines (1 June), Ernie Wright (7 June), and Ray Odom (10 June). Hope you people have a happy birthday. Anniversaries include: Faye & Ernie Wright (6 June), Melba & James Wallace (6 June), Fran & Harold Drake (14 June), Melinda & Russ Temple (19 June) and Donna & Charles Taylor (21 June). Congratulations, hope you all enjoy your special day.

The Georgia State Rally was our monthly camp out for the month of May as usual. It was at Sugar Mill R.V. Park near Thomasville on the 18th and 19th. There were 37 units from three states attended. Chapter 377 had ten units attend. Our group started arriving on Thursday and everyone was there on Friday. Friday after lunch you registered and received your goodie bags. Then supper was at 5:30 p.m. and consisted of hot dogs, cole slaw, baked beans etc. Chapter 234 out of Brunswick hosted the supper and done a fine job. After everyone was served, we were welcomed and played bingo. On Saturday morning Chapter 107 (north Ga. area) served breakfast. It was pancakes, sausages, Canadian bacon, juices and coffee. After breakfast the games were played, run by Chapter 377 (Peach State Club from middle Ga.). Everyone had fun playing games and found a shade to play in. The weather was absolutely beautiful all week-end long. We didn't even encounter the smoke from the wild fires thank goodness. Crafts were displalyed at 2 p.m., ice cream social at 3 p.m. Dinner was served 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and was catered by Sonny's Bar-B-Que. After dinner the game awards were given out followed by entertainment. The entertainment was by a member of Chapter 234. Shorty Wallace and his wife and daughter helped him. He played guitar and sang and they helped him on some numbers. After the entertainment a drawing was held for door prizes.

Sunday morning a continental breakfast was held, followed by a devotion by Ernie Wright and songs by the Wallace family. We enjoy these state rallies. It's a time to see friends you haven't seen in a year. Also you meet new people who have come into clubs in the past year or have bought a Coachmen product and are interested in joining a club.

Our next rally will be 15th and 16th of June at Twin oaks R.V. Park at Elko, Ga. Please call for your reservation ASAP the phone # is 478-987-9361. Just tell the camp ground when you call that you will be camping with the Peach State Coachmen Club, Chapter 377. The hosts will be the Wrights and the Knightons. You are on your own for Friday night's supper. Saturday night please bring your own steak, chicken or something to cook on the grill and your own salad dressing. The salad, potato (to bake), and bread will be furnished. Anything else you would like to bring to compliment the meal will be appreciated.

Let’s continue to remember Linda Lord in our prayers, also Russ and Melinda Temple.

Directions to Twin Oaks R.V. Park is: Take I-75 to the south of Perry, Ga. exit 127 or Hwy 26. Go east 1/10 of a mile, the kpark is on the left. Hope to see you there. Wishing all of you safe travels and good health.
