Cathy Evers sent me this pic of their Gulf Stream Gladiator 6370 toy hauler motorhome braving the west Georgia snow on Sunday.  She and husband Jeff are among my favorite customers!

Mike and Myra Mikos of Oviedo, Fla., pose in front of the stunning 2009 Gulf Stream SuperNova 6400 diesel "super C" motorhome they purchased this week from me here at Mid-State RV Center.

Mike Mikos, owner/ operator of KEM-Performance Inc., has a well-deserved reputation in the industry for his expertise in tuning and calibrating diesel engines, including the International 6.0L VT-365 under the hood of his new SuperNova. No doubt he'll be juicing it up to enhance fuel economy!

I would also like to thank my fellow product specialist Dennis Price here at Mid-State RV Center, as well as Paul Genovese with Gulf Stream Coach, for their assistance in getting a new SuperNova delivered from Indiana to the customer within 3 days. Extra special appreciation is directed toward the heroes in our Service Department - including Gary Scarbrough and Chuck Shadron - for helping get this unit prepped for delivery in record time.

My deepest gratitude goes out to Myra and Mike! All the best, guys.

 Congratulations and thanks (again!) to Jeff and Cathy Evers of Harris County, Ga., near Columbus. I sold them a 2007 Sportscoach Pathfinder 373DS (nicknamed "Daytona") back in February 2008, but over time, they found that a "toterhome" - aka a motorhome toy hauler - would better suit their needs as they could take both their motorcycle and their Jeep with them.

Enter the Gladiator. Gulf Stream's super C Gladiator motorhome toy hauler line - built on the International chassis - seems to have all the features they needed. Floor plan 6370 was the winner, and it's a stunner in red, black and gray. Our friends at SVS installed 2 additional TVs and DVD players in the unit, and we were good to go.

Gulf Stream recently introduced the motorized GOLD Premium Customer Care Program that has dealers and customers alike applauding it as the new standard of excellence.
It's one of the most revolutionary customer service programs in the business - and at the same time it is very simple. Customers love it because it helps them to get to know their new motorhome, plus it offers them personalized service and attention.
Here's how it works:
After purchasing a Gulf Stream motorized coach, new owners are given a special GOLD Card and access to a personal service representative. A simple phone call from the new owner puts the personal representative to work helping with important service needs:

• Operating the special features of the new Gulf Stream coach
• Providing free roadside assistance (for the first year)
• Locating the nearest service center
• Helping customers maintain their motorhome
• Assisting with product questions

This new customer service program makes a strong statement about Gulf Stream's commitment to its customers. Mid-State RV Center sells the following Gulf Stream RVs that are eligible for the GOLD Card: Independence, Gladiator, Endura, and SuperNova.

A customer asked me what kind of horsepower was on the Class C engines offered on Coachmen motorhomes. Since Coachmen doesn't publish the horsepower in the Class C brochures (or at least I couldn't find them), I asked Mike Williford with Coachmen RV to research the question.

According to Mike, the 2009 Freelanders built on the 6.0L Chevy engine offer 300 horsepower and 360 foot/lbs. of torque. The larger Freelanders (and Leprechauns) are built on the 6.8L Ford engine, which boasts 305 horsepower and 420 foot/lbs. of torque.

New Coachmen class C motorhomes are arriving with the newly restyled Ford front end - very sharp looking!

Benny and Cheunita Beasley of Warner Robins, Ga., bought the coolest class C motorhome we carry -- the Coachmen Freelander 3130IS. Around here we call it "the Entertainer" because that's the kind of owner it's made for. Here's a pic of the floor plan:

The barstools and the table pop out of the floor for when you're driving down the road, and there are three flat-screen TVs in this baby!

And here is the happy couple ... two of my favorite people in the world.
